An Application was made to recover legal costs which had been incurred to take the local NHS (PCT - Primary Care Trust) to Court. Eastbourne Borough Council along with other Councils and generous company and public donations had financed this. The Judge ruled that these costs should be paid by the NHS. Victory again for our Campaign!

Read what the pm said in 2008 here. Its not about Eastbourne but its still valid. It refers to the Oxford, Banbury Horton reconfiguration going on at a similar time.  Their PCT was asked by the IRP (on instructions from the then Sec of State for Health) to look into their proposals (to single-site) and work with the stakeholders for a solution.
