Option 5
What is Option 5?
When there is any change in 'core services' (these are the basic services, such as A & E, Paediatrics, Maternity), the local Health Authority (in this case The Primary Care Trust) have to consult the Public. This is a legal requirement! The local PCT were looking at our 'core services', in particular Maternity, and went out to Public Consultation. The PCT produced four Options concerning Maternity for their consultation, details of which are below. All four Options removed consultant-led Maternity at either Eastbourne or Hastings DGHs. Public consultation in respect of this started on Monday 26th March 2007 and finished on 27th July 2007. |
